Lisa Dale Woodward

A recent transplant from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Lisa now practices family law and criminal defense throughout eastern Virginia. She is known for her aggressive, thorough, and creative advocacy in litigation. As a former Pennsylvania Senior Deputy District Attorney and Chief of the Domestic Abuse Division, Lisa is familiar with all aspects of the family law, adoption, criminal justice, and juvenile justice systems. In addition to prosecuting various felony jury trials to verdict, she has prosecuted hundreds of DUI cases. Lisa also represents parents whose children have been removed from their custody by the Department of Social Services due to allegations of abuse or neglect. She is a certified guardian ad litem.

A tireless advocate for children, animals, and victims of abuse, Lisa has volunteered for various organizations such as Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Bucks County (Pennsylvania) Youth Aid Panel, the Bucks County Fatality Review Commission, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association Animal Law Committee. She is past Chair of the Bucks County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee, and the 2009 recipient of the Arthur B. Walsh, Jr. Award, given to an attorney or judge “who, by his or her action and example, has made equal justice under the law a meaningful goal and ideal.”

Ms. Woodward graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and English from Tulane University. When not in the courtroom, you can find Lisa playing with her dog and horse in the fields of Pungo.
